Customline Diffusers

Wall TechnologyWall Technology Wall Technology

Wall TechnologyWall Technology's Customline Diffusers are either wall or ceiling mounted and are used to distribute sound more evenly throughout a room or hall. By reflecting sound off their curved surfaces at a variety of angles, diffusers help defeat "hot spots" as well as blend the output of differing sound sources. Diffusers are used extensively in acoustical "tuning" and, when combined with absorption, allow rooms to maintain clarity while controlling excessive reverberation.

Construction: Diffuser cores are constructed of 1/8" thick molded fiberglass, shaped into a semi-cylindrical surface with faceted sides for maximum dispersion of reflected sound waves.

Sizes: Wall panels come in 5 standard sizes with custom sizes available:
48" x 24"
48" x 36"
48" x 48"
48" x 72"
48" x 96"

Ceiling panels are available in 2 standard sizes:
48" x 24"
48" x 48"

Finishes: Wall diffusers can be covered with a wide range of fabrics, most often matching those selected for sound absorption panels on the same project. Ceiling units have a texture white gel coat finish similar to textured gypsum board.

Mounting: Wall diffusers mount using standard Z-Clip fasteners and can be interchanged with absorber units. Ceiling diffusers use standard grid-mounting hardware (included) and simply bolt into place under standard lay-in ceilings. They can also be fastened directly to solid ceiling surfaces with appropriate fasteners.

Flammability: All diffuser components have been tested in according to ASTM E-84 Tunnel Test and have achieved a flame spread rating of 25 or less.
